THE PORCH!! and yard...

This part of our project has been a long time coming.  The driveway into the house and church parking lot goes right past the door and "yard" to the parsonage.  Not only do cars frequent the driveway, but there is a full size basketball court in the back which draws young and old from all over Gloucester.  That being said, people drive in and out all day at all speeds and in all manner of attention to what may be running around.

When we lived upstairs, it was so hard to feel comfortable letting Addison run around and play outside precisely because of this situation.  That's when I decided to start making some phone calls and get some quotes on a nice little picket fence.  The church agreed that is was a necessity and an amazing man from church started installing it on the day I went into the hospital to deliver Eliana.

You can see the first segment of it going in down on the right.  At the same time Eli was born, we also began our move down to the main house of the parsonage.  That meant that all summer we were able to enjoy the closed in safety of...a yard!  We got to work on making it look like a yard - putting in flower beds, reseeding, etc.  The fence remained unpainted that year, but looked GREAT!
