Since I was due with Eli, I've been attending the spring/fall shopping extravaganza known as Drop and Shop. The first time I went, I was blown away! The Drop and Shop is " a week-long children's consignment sales event for name brand children's clothing, gear and furniture."
We have been blessed to be given amazing hand-me-downs for Addison since birth, so I had never known the expense of clothing, shoes, coats, bathing suits, etc. until Eli was born and couldn't wear Addison's clothes! At the event, I am able to get all her clothes for the coming seasons, shoes, coats, bathing suits, hats, mittens, toys, videos, books, etc. I have only shopped on the last day which is the 50% off day. Last spring I got everything she needed for only $45!
Well, it begins again TOMORROW! (the shopping part) The drop part started on Monday and for the first time this year, I took part in that. I was extremely impressed with how easy they make it to become a consigner. I have "dropped" about $300 worth of items and will be anxiously watching my webpage over the next few days to see what is selling.
