Monday, lots of snow, schools canceled, lots to shovel.
Today, Kellie gets back from school with Addison, parks next to my office window so I can help carry things up to our apartment.
An hour or so later, I'm in my office and I hear what sounds like thunder, but what is actually the pounding of snow coming off the roof of the church and thumping down right outside my window.
Right on top of our car.
The snow bent in the roof of the car, completely busted out the rear windshield, and shattered the front windshield. It pounded the car so thoroughly that when I was pulling chunks of snow out of the back of the car, pieces of glass were embedded all through them, as though it hadn't just knocked the glass in, it had splintered and swallowed it. Thank God Kellie and Addison weren't in the car and our friends have loaned us their car for a few days.
And thankfully, spring-like temperatures are forecast for this weekend. I think we're ready.
