THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS FRIGHTFUL

Friday, December 19th and everyone is geared up for our first big snowstorm of the year! Gov. Patrick has closed all Boston schools and urged all non-essential workers to stay home. Most of the schools around here began their day announcing a 12:00 release. I got home, put Addison down for a nap, and anxiously awaited our snowy weekend. At 2:00 it began! 2:30

What do you do on nights like this? Well, this was our first time with a boy who actually "gets" what's going on - so we made the most of it!! We ate a delicious dinner of fresh bruschetta, marinated steak tips and asparagus; then Justin made a fort for Addison...
...which ultimately turned into a pile of pillow and cushions great for jumping on. Addison really loves to jump and knows he's not supposed to on the couch and so will often pile the pillows on one end of it, half run/half rabbit-hop across the couch and throw himself onto the pillow pile, which is when he usually notices us looking at him and will sweetly ask, "jump?" "No, not on the couch!" So last night was really fun when he was able to take off every cushion and pillow and pile them on the floor, because let's face it - who really likes to jump on the floor? Justin joined in on the fun and I must admit, this pregnant lady did once or twice as well! (There are just no pictures to prove it).To end the night, we had a LITTLE indoor snowball fight - snowball toss - really...
...and went to bed listening to the wind blow and wondering what it would look like when we woke up.
