11 months and a new tooth!

On Sunday Addison was exactly 11 months old and he celebrated the milestone with something we've been waiting for for some time now: his first tooth. Kellie was feeding him his breakfast at home when the spoon clinked against something in his mouth. Sure enough, the first little crooked tooth has popped through the gums. The tooth is on the bottom right, like he has one little tiny fang coming through. Kellie was calling him snaggletooth this morning.

We've been waiting for this. A number of Addison's friends already have multiple teeth. Example: Addison's little buddy, our friends Aly and Sergio's baby Gabriel. Kellie has started watching Gabriel every Wednesday, which is quite a handful for her and quite amusing to me. I come home for lunch to find the two little guys crawling around on the floor pulling tupperware and pots and pans out of the cubboards, or seated at the table grabbing their lunch off the table (and throwing it on the floor). This cracks me up; Kellie not so much. Still, the boys are generally pretty good. It's fun to watch their different personalities coming through, their differences evident even in how they play on the floor. They're just two weeks apart in age, but each unique. Gabriel, for example has eight teeth. But look out Gabriel, Addison's on his way. The little snaggletooth has one down and more coming soon.
