Another Hallelujah

"Mama, is Addison a Christian?"
"Yes he is, honey."
"Are you a Christian?"
"Yes, sweetie."
"Is Daddy a Christian?"
"Mmm Hmm."

These conversations have been going on for the last month.  We've been able to tell over the past year that Eli has learned so very much at Sunday School.  I mean, yes, we read the Bible and pray together and talk about the Lord throughout the day, but she's really been picking up so much from her teachers at church; it's been exciting to hear!

Also this year has been quite challenging regarding sweet Eli's temperament and emotions.  When the girl gets angry, I'm quite at a loss for how to handle her!  The last few days have found me begging the Lord for wisdom and patience again as it seems like just nothing works when she's like the.way.she.can.be.

This morning I spent some time again just begging the Lord for patience and guidance and also for just some help from the Holy Spirit.  The girl needs to learn self control, but we all know that's not a piece of cake, now is it?  I prayed the Holy Spirit would help her during those times and calm her from the inside out.

I left to go the Y and upon returning saw Justin and Eli hugging.  "It's been a very rough morning", he said, "but we've worked through it."

I looked at Eli and told her, "Do you know that I prayed for you this morning?  I prayed that you..."
"...would become a Christian?"  she asked me.
"Well, yes!  I also prayed that the Holy Spirit would just..."
"...come live inside my heart?"  she finished.
"Yes, Eli!"
"I want it to" she finished.

Justin sat her down and talked to her more about it and "quizzed" her to see how deep her understanding lie.  She answered everything so sincerely (and correctly) and so Justin led her in praying for forgiveness and receiving the Lord into her life.  I cried, of course.  It was a much sweeter moment than when Addison had last year and Sam was screaming the entire time!  We were  both able to pray blessings over her and then rejoice with her all day as she told people her story!!

Tuesday, May 14th, 2013 Eliana Abigail Frank gave her heart to her Heavenly Father.  My sweet little girl, I am so proud of you.  I am thankful for the sensitivity of your heart and the way you already think on the Lord.  Our prayer for you is that through the ups and downs of your life ahead, you will stay steady, firmly grasping onto the hand of your Father as He leads you.  We pray that you would grow into a confident young woman who knows who she has been created to be and knows that she is heard and her prayers are always answered.  We pray that you would gather others around you on your journey, always loving and caring for them in your joyful way, while you point them to Christ.
