TODAY

Today was filled with...

**lots of snuggles:  Sam (and I) awoke a good hour to two before everyone else and had lots of time for snuggling on the couch.  This afternoon after Eli had been napping, I walked through the foyer to find her sitting with her piggy on the stairs, "Hi Mom! I'm awake!"  Such a sweet smile on her face.  "Want to snuggle in the living room?"  Yes, Eli, yes I do.

**good food:  It was Justin's morning to sleep in and I thought I would surprise him with some pumpkin pancakes and coffee - so good!  Dinner tonight was quick, easy and so good - it just felt like fall.  Roasted potatoes, peppers and chicken sausage with homemade biscuits and salad.  We just needed some cider to make it complete.

**sunshine:  can't be a sunny fall day in the 60's.  love it.

**quiet:  Addison went to a friend's house for the day and while Sammy slept, Eli happily played alone.  Justin and I got to talk, read and drink coffee in peace - which doesn't happen much these days.

**good buys:  I had a quick moment to stop into our local thrift shop.  It never ceases to treat me well.  I came home with an old washing basket that is sitting pretty under my porch table and just waiting for rain boots or pumpkins or something fun.  A pretty green vintage bowl that will hold my green-tipped matches.  A set of vintage sheets that will be washed and recycled into something else.  As will the wooden letters I found for .50!!  What a steal!

**laughter:  tonight as Justin and I cooked, our 3 wrestled and played and colored and laughed and laughed.  I kept awaiting the breakdown  moment, but it never came!  Again after dinner while we were trying to do showers, it was a wild romp through the upstairs rooms as they laughed and laughed.  Oh, for these moments to be etched in my mind forever!
