Family Day - or Not.

Mondays are supposed to be family day.  We're all going a little stir crazy at this point in the year but with gas prices the way they are, it's getting harder for us to get out.  So, this was going to be a stay at home day in which we got a lot done!  But..things didn't quite turn out the way we had envisioned.  CRAZY DAY!

The plan was to:  Justin, start painting the kitchen and watch the kids while Kellie went to the grocery store and gym.  Kellie, get the seeds planted and cook dinner for us and another family.  Addison, Eli, Samuel, have fun playing together; helping cook and plant seeds; maybe go to the Y playroom.

This is how it went down...

Samuel smiled.

Justin started the painting (can you even tell?).

We got the greenhouse upstairs.

Then Addison got sick - on everything!

Painting stopped.

Eli got into mischief with Addison's things.

The seed planting never happened.

Thankfully, Samuel was still smiling.  

LOTS of laundry and carpet cleaning was done that day.

More getting into Addison's things...

...as Addison slept and slept and got sick.

THEN, Eli got ornery and in constant (it seemed) trouble.  Samuel wasn't happy unless held.  And supper wasn't cooking fast enough.  Not a  nice way to start the week, but now it is Wednesday and none of those hardships have changed yet.  Maybe we'll just try again next week!

So for now, we're letting the place go and doing a lot of this...

...which really isn't so bad.
