Spring on Cape Ann

Hopefully the spring weather is about to leave us for some more permanent summer weather, but in the meantime, we've tried to make the most of it. We've had family in town for the last 2 months and it has just been wonderful - - really really good for Addison and just so much fun for Justin and I too.

My creation

Cousin Calla has really been great in preparing Addison for his little sister - he has had to practice being "gentle" and making her laugh and comforting her and just loving on her - she is very patient! Just this morning Addison said, "Mommy, my baby sister crying." And I looked at my belly and said, "She is?" "No, not that baby sister - that baby sister!" pointing to Calla.

Addison has just been so fun lately; he is bursting with vocabulary and is constantly keeping us laughing with his new sentences. He is turning into a little clown - saying "I just kidding!" or "That's funny!" all the time and just cracking himself up. As the weather has improved, he wants to be outside every second shooting and practicing his dribbling. For a 2 1/2 year old, he is very focused and not easily frustrated, even though his "shots" miss the court hoops by about 4 feet!

My creation

This set of pictures is from our first ice cream of the season - we have since had many more of course, including a few special popsicle treats out on the deck to reward a little man when he uses the potty!

Many more pictures are to come - the gardening is going very well this year, and hopefully they'll be a baby update soon as well!! Any day, girl! Any day!
