Over the 4th of July, our sweet family got away for a much needed vacation. We have never vacationed together - just the 3 of us. It was also our first camping trip all together. We found a beautiful island off the mid-coast of Maine that I had never been to and spent 3 days and 2 nights exploring the area.
We hiked out to the most beautiful beach I think I have ever been on. It was very unlike most Maine beaches you see. This one had soft, beautiful sand and looked miles long. You had to hike 2 miles to get out to it, so it was also pretty empty which was nice. On our hike out, Addison fell asleep in the backpack. When we got to the beach, we set the backpack down and he covered his little face with his hands and sat that way, sleeping, for another 15 min. or so! Pretty cute.
And then just last week, Justin and I camped in the Franconia Notch State Park for his birthday. Addison stayed with some friends for a few nights and we were able to get away to do some hiking together. We hiked to the top of the mountain on the left - Cannon Mt. "The Old Man in the Mountain" used to be located on the top there until he fell apart a few years ago.
