I've been VERY excited about having extra space to practise my gardening skills. Since we found out we were moving to this apartment, we've been talking about how to use the deck space and what we want it to look like. The weather had been very uncooperative until this past weekend, when we finally had some glimpses of sunshine.
We measured and sketched and borrowed the van, then set out for B.C. the building center in Gloucester. Justin set to work making sure our wood was cut to size, while Addison and I wandered the store for the other supplies we needed.
By the end of the weekend, it was done; not without help from the little man! For his first construction project, Justin has done a fabulous job. We lined them with plastic, filled them with bags and bags of soil and the first of many little seedlings have been transplanted into their new home - alyssum, lettuce, spinach, carrots and broccoli.
