First run

Saturday was exactly four months since I broke my fibia and blew out the ligaments in my ankle, and I am now beginning to feel almost normal. I've been walking a lot, and my limp is basically gone. So Saturday, I thought I'd take my first run since the accident and see how it went. It still felt rather tight, so I told Kellie on my way out that I probably wouldn't be out long, on account of the ankle.

Turns out the ankle didn't slow me much at all. It's still a little tight and a little weak pushing off, but there was no pain and after a little running it loosened right up. My lungs and legs, however, slowed me down more and left me sore in the morning.

Still, the ankle's recovery is nearly complete, though I don't see any basketball in my future for a few more months to come.
